In a heartwarming display of love and affection, the parishioners of St Peter Church, Barkur, came together to celebrate the birthday of their beloved Parish Priest, Rev Fr Ronald Miranda.
Despite Fr Miranda's humble reluctance to mark the occasion, the laity leaders, led by Mr Joseph Fernandes, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, orchestrated a simple yet meaningful programme.
The celebration followed the Holy Mass, with Fr Miranda being joined by Rev Fr Antony Andrade and Rev Fr Victor DSouza, as well as the newly formed Parish Pastoral Council. The parishioners looked on with delight as the Vicar was showered with love and appreciation.
Fr Miranda, moved by the gesture, acknowledged the efforts of parish devotees with a grateful heart, humbly accepting their good wishes. It was a moment of pure joy, one that will be etched in the memories of all those present.
