Barkur, March 20: The grand annual festivities of the Barkur Habba entered their third glorious day with great religious fervour and devotion, as the revered Sri Panchalingeshwara Devaru of Barkur Kotikeri — the presiding deity of the Tulu Nadu region — was celebrated in a magnificent Nagarotsava (ceremonial town procession).

The highlight of the day's proceedings was the Vasantha Seva (Spring Worship), performed at the sacred Kallu Chappara (the stone canopy pavilion), drawing large numbers of devotees who gathered to offer their prayers and witness the auspicious rituals.

The honour of sponsoring and conducting today's Vasantha Seva was bestowed upon the Car Union, Barkur, who performed the sacred service with great devotion and dedication.
Adding a deeply spiritual dimension to the Nagarotsava, the Sri Durgamba Mahila Bhajana Mandali of Kudli rendered soulful and melodious Bhajana Seva (devotional singing) throughout the procession, filling the air with sacred hymns and creating an atmosphere of divine reverence.

The celebrations continue to draw enthusiastic participation from devotees across the Tulu Nadu region, reflecting the deep cultural and religious significance of this cherished annual festival.
Further days of the Barkur Habba are awaited with great anticipation by the devotee community.
