An appeal

Dear Friends,

Season’s Greetings to all of you, our  esteemed barkuronline.com visitors.

As we experienced, major part of 2020, is about to go into the history as most turbulent, filled with tension and scary one with dreadful Covid19 pandemic.

Almighty Lord saved and protected all of us to rejoice during this Christmas and soon we will begin a New Year 2021.

Throughout this year, we were caring for ourselves as well as each other, sharing whatever little or surplus we had with our neighbours and less fortunate ones.

At this critical situation, few of the  Ex-Members of CYM Barkur joined their hands together to reach out to needy one by forming a Charity Fund, through which, it is trying to reach out to the last, least and lost. As the applicants are many and financial burden is huge, we solicit your generous helping hand and we are sure, your heart will have space for these less fortunate brethren.

Coming to this peculiar case, in short, Mrs Dorothy DAlmeida is a widow with two young girls, residing in Halekody Village in Barkur parish. After the unfortunate death of the bread winner late Raphael D’Almeida, they are left neither with any source of income nor income yielding property. Thus far extended family and well-wishers helped them to sail through. The house they are living has been damaged and it will be next to impossible to face the coming Monsoon.

The family approached Church, Catholic Sabha etc and nothing substantial was possible through them alone and hence by going through the ground report,  submitted by their representatives, Core Committee of Ex- Member’s of CYM Barkur decided,  to cooperate with the these kind hearted people by approving Rs. 50,000/- towards the much needed repair and maintenance work.

The initial estimate about 1.75 lakhs, itself beyond our imagination and we have high hopes with generous and kind hearted people like you. Any small contribution from your end will help the deserving family to have a secured shade over their head.

We will commence the work by first week of January 2021 and request you donate whatever is possible towards this noble cause, and can  directly transfer the funds to the below mentioned account, with a request to text message to 9611596808.
