Dear Friends and Well-Wishers,
We are deeply humbled as we reflect on the remarkable journey of the Global Barkurians Charitable Trust (GBCT) since its inception in November 2020. Over the past three years, our unwavering mission has been to extend a compassionate hand to the neediest in our society, transcending barriers of caste, creed, region, or religion. In moments of despair and loneliness, we have offered not just financial assistance and economic support but, more importantly, a profound sense of care and concern.
Through the tireless efforts of our team and the generous contributions from individuals like you, we have successfully executed 15 major projects. These projects have ranged from constructing and repairing houses to supporting educational institutions and fulfilling the needs of our local churches. However, amidst our endeavors, we have encountered a recurring demand for medical assistance. While we have made significant strides in facilitating treatment and hospitalization for many, there have been instances where our response was not as swift as we desired. This realization has prompted us to establish a dedicated 'Medical & Educational Fund' to address emergencies promptly and effectively.
We are immensely grateful for the outpouring of generosity that has enabled GBCT to mobilize approximately Rs. 30 Lakhs directly to beneficiaries, whether in kind, cash, or services, within just three years. Your support has not only restored faith and confidence in us as a trusted organization but has also reaffirmed our ability to channelize charity towards those who need it most.
Moreover, we cannot overlook the plight of economically disadvantaged children with dreams of pursuing higher education. For far too many, uncertainties, lack of planning, parental ignorance, and societal stigma stand as insurmountable barriers. While we have provided support to such cases privately, the growing number of families facing similar challenges calls for a more systematic approach. Hence, GBCT is committed to identifying and supporting deserving cases through the proposed fund.
In conversations with our esteemed partners in service, many of whom have already pledged their unwavering support, we have been heartened by their willingness to contribute. As the needs of our community continue to grow and uncertainties persist, we earnestly appeal to you, our dear friends and well-wishers, to join us in this noble endeavor.
