Barkur Educational Society's National ITI Celebrates Ayudha Pooja with Grand Festivities

The National ITI, under the administration of the Barkur Educational Society, recently celebrated the Ayudha Pooja festival with great enthusiasm and splendor. The event, which saw active participation from teaching staff, non-teaching personnel, and students alike, was a testament to the institution's commitment to preserving cultural traditions while fostering educational excellence.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including key members of the administrative board. Mr. B. Sitaram Shetty, the Vice President of the administrative board and a retired principal, lent his wisdom to the proceedings. The event also saw the attendance of Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty, who serves as the Secretary of the institution.

Adding to the list of notable attendees was Mr. Archibald Furtado, the Administrative Coordinator of the Barkur Educational Society. His presence underscored the society's dedication to maintaining a strong connection between administrative functions and cultural celebrations.

The gathering was further enriched by the participation of Mr. Dinakar Tholar, a retired principal and current member of the administrative board. His years of experience in the field of education brought a sense of continuity and tradition to the event.

Representing the broader educational network of the society, Mr. Ratnakar Shetty, Director of Heradi Primary School, and Mr. Srinivas Shettigar, Director of Hanehalli Primary School, were also present. Their attendance highlighted the interconnectedness of various educational institutions under the Barkur Educational Society's umbrella.

Mr. Sudhakar Rao, a retired headmaster and administrative board member, was among the esteemed guests, bringing with him years of educational expertise. The event also saw the participation of Mr. B. Ramachandra Kamath, a retired Syndicate Bank officer and a dedicated director of the institution, known for his constant support and aspirations for the society's growth.

Other notable attendees included administrative board members Mr. B.K. Kothari and Mr. Uday Shetty, along with Mr. Udaykumar Shetty, the headmaster of Hanehalli Primary School. Their presence underscored the strong support system that exists within the educational community.

A special highlight of this year's celebration was the participation of the newly formed "Alumni Association." The association was represented by its President, Mr. Nagaraj Shetty, owner of Malnad Cashews Industries in Hengavalli, along with Vice Presidents Mr. Vinod Kumar Shetty and Mr. Subrahmania. The association's Treasurer, Mr. Ajit Kumar Shetty, and Joint Secretaries Mr. Sukumar Shetty and Mamata also graced the occasion.

The event also recognized the generosity of Mr. Krishna Prasad Madhyastha, an alumnus who donated a Xerox machine to the institution. Another former student, Mr. Gopinath, along with several other alumni, contributed to the success of the celebration, reinforcing the strong bonds between the institution and its past students.

The Pooja ceremony itself was conducted by Vedamoorthy Kudli Sri Ganapati Udupa, adding a touch of spiritual significance to the proceedings. The institution's staff members, Mr. Harish Hebbar and Mr. Sudarshan Udupa, played crucial roles in ensuring the smooth execution of the Pooja rituals.

This Ayudha Pooja celebration at the National ITI not only honored the traditional practice of worshipping tools and machinery but also served as a platform for strengthening community ties and recognizing the contributions of various stakeholders in the educational society.
