The concrete road connecting to bridge between Barkur and Bennekudru is dangerously cracked and in the verge of collapsing. Hundreds of vehicles and 10 to 15 School busses are plying on this road everyday.
This road connects Barkur to Bennekudru and then proceeds to Bennekudru Temple through the picturesque Barkur's own Marine Drive and then further connects Sasthan via Pandeshwara. People have requested the concerned Government Departments to act swiftly to avoid any major disturbances to the public and the children. Bennekudru Shri Kula Mhasthree Temple festival is also scheduled at the end of December and thousands of devotees are expected and any disturbance in this road will have negative impression on Government authorities.
