His Excellency the Bishop of Bellary, Rt. Rev. Dr. Henry D’Souza was in Vatican, Rome as a part of his routine visit to meet Pope Francis normally known as Ad Limina Apostolorum visit, once in every five years.
On his return journey to India, he was in UAE, Abu Dhabi and made it a point to meet Barkurians in UAE on 20th September, 2019 at the residence of well-known business-couple Mrs Thelma and Mr. Walter D’Almeida (Barkur), Abu Dhabi. Most of the leading Barkurians in Abu Dhabi and Dubai gathered together to seek Bishops Blessings and to call out their nostalgic days in Barkur in 1976 – 78, while he was the Assistant Parish Priest immediately after his Ordination on 4th May, 1976.
As Bishop celebrated his Birthday just a week back on 9th September, the occasion was a time to greet him, celebrate by cutting a cake and flowers and wishing him happy and healthy life.
