In a touching gesture of remembrance and community support, the Barkur Parish has recently become the recipient of two state-of-the-art LCD televisions. This generous donation comes from Mr. Charles D'Almeida, a devoted member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in loving memory of his late parents and aunt.
The televisions were gifted in honor of Mr. Maurice D'Almeida, Mrs. Floramary D'Almeida, and Ms. Isabella D'Almeida, all formerly of Halekody Vado. Charles D'Almeida, their son and nephew, made this heartfelt contribution to ensure that the memory of his family continues to live on through service to the parish community.
Charles D'Almeida, originally from Halekody, has built a life and career in Bahrain. Despite the geographical distance, he has maintained strong ties to his roots and faith. As an active member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Bahrain, D'Almeida has demonstrated his commitment to supporting religious institutions both in his adopted home and in his place of origin.
The donation was formally presented to the parish in a small yet meaningful ceremony. Rev. Fr. Ronald Miranda, representing the parish, graciously accepted the gift. The event was further dignified by the presence of Fr. Rolvin Fernandes, the resident priest, and Mr. Jossie Fernandes, who serves as the Vice President of the Parish Council.
During the ceremony, Rev. Fr. Miranda expressed the parish's profound gratitude for the thoughtful donation. He emphasized how these modern amenities would enhance the parish's ability to serve its congregation, particularly in terms of educational and community outreach programs.
The addition of these two LCD TVs to the existing ones is expected to significantly benefit the Barkur Parish in various ways. They can be utilized for religious education classes, displaying hymn lyrics during services, showing informational videos during community events, and much more. This technology upgrade aligns with the parish's ongoing efforts to engage its members through modern means while preserving traditional values.
This donation stands as a testament to the enduring connection between the D'Almeida family and their home parish. It reflects a beautiful synergy between honoring the memory of loved ones and contributing to the spiritual growth of the community.
As the Barkur Parish integrates these new resources into their daily operations, the spirit of the D'Almeida family - Mr. Maurice, Mrs. Floramary, and Ms. Isabella - will continue to touch the lives of parishioners for years to come.
The generosity of Charles D'Almeida serves as an inspiring example of how individuals can make meaningful contributions to their communities, even from afar. It underscores the power of faith, family, and philanthropy in bringing positive change to religious institutions and the people they serve.
