Global Barkurians Charitable Trust is ready with yet another project

GBCT – Global Barkurians Charitable Trust, a Govt registered platform of like-minded socially concerned Barkurians settled across the globe yet again in the limelight, as they completed its consecutive 7th Project in the service of needy people in Barkur and in the surrounding.

As reported earlier, Richard Monteiro a resident of Benne Kudru Barkur living in a house which was in a very bad and risky condition. Now its roof, ceilings, floors, repaired and much needed facelift was given to veranda and refurbishment of kitchen, bathrooms and washing area with much needed electrification and plumbing.

All these happened with the blessings of Almighty as the generous members of trustees and many other kind hearted people come forward to donate required funds.  GBCT will remain highly indebted to all for their helping hand and contribution.

The local team led by Divyananda Gonsalves, Joseph Fernandes, Dolphy DSouza, Edna Gonsalves along with few others seen and supervised to ensure that a quality renovation work had been executed, within reasonably short time since the job given a start on 26h December, 2022.

The formal and simple inauguration and blessing ceremony has been scheduled to be held on Sunday, 19th February, 2023 at 3.00 pm, as the Parish Priest of Barkur St Peter Church, Rev. Fr Philip NerI Aranha consented to be present on this occasion. Vicar General of the SMS Cathedral Brahmmavara Very Rev Fr. MC Mathai will be the Chief Guest and bless the renovated house and Superior of the IHM Convent  Sr Jesmitha will felicitate the donors and well-wishers.
