Kishore Gonsalves, popularly known as 'Kishoo Barkur', founder of www.barkuronline.com, has been nominated for '5th Global Konkani Awards 2012' for the category of 'Best Lyricist 2012' along with renowned poets namely Wilson Kateel and Sanjay Borkar.
Kishoo Barkur is being nominated for this category for the lyrics of the song 'Thovnle Kaliz' from the Konkani Album 'Thembe Thembe' composed by Kevin Misquith. This album is also being nominated in the category of Best Album.
Kishore Gonsalves is a well known Konkani poet and writer. He is the winner of "Konkani Sahithya Academy Award", one of the prestigeous awards for ‘Rupnim’ a collection of 10 konkani short stories. He is also the secretary of 'Kavitha Trust'. He has given lyrics for various konkani albums and also writes articles for various konkani websites and magazines. He is one of the columnist in www.kittall.com and we can find his poems in www.kavitaa.com.
Kishore Gonsalves is multi talented personality. Apart from being an achiever in Literature, he is good musician, singer and speaker. He is also an emerging Entrepreneur, efficient organiser. He is the founder president of the talented group 'The Expressions'.
