The accolade adds yet another jewel to Barkur's crown, as his literary prowess garners widespread recognition. Hailing from Moodahadu Kudru in Barkur, Antony Prakash DSouza, better known by his pen name Antony Barkur, has established himself as a formidable force in the literary world.
Antony Barkur's literary journey began with a collection of poetry that captured the imagination of readers and critics alike, earning him the coveted Karnataka Konkani Sahithya Academy Award. With "Masaam," his foray into the realm of short stories, Antony once again proved his mettle, clinching the Konkani Bhasha Mandal Goa Award for Literature in the year 2020.
