Rainy Days in Barkur

Rainy days are back in barkur. This time the monsoon has arrived earlier than usual, i.e. during the last week of May. Since then there have been inconsistent showers. But since last week and particularly from past two days its been raining heavily here in barkur giving the feel of 'typical barkur rainy days'.

River sita is flowing prosporously and continued rains would surely make it overflow, causing floods. This year's monsoon is giving the hints of repaying its 'debts' of last year. Less amount of rain had caused lot of problems to the people, particularly during the end course of summer. Hopely it will rain in right amounts this year, so that people will not fall short of water for their livelihood.
