Rotary Club Barkur and Daijiworld, Udupi Join Forces to Distribute Free Uniforms to Local School Students

In a heartwarming display of community service and educational support, the Rotary Club of Barkur, in collaboration with Kishoo Enterprises - Daiji World, Udupi, organized a free uniform distribution program for students of two local schools. The event, held recently, benefited a total of 41 students from the 6th and 7th grades of National Private Higher Primary School, Hanehalli, and the 7th grade of Smt. Rukmini Shedti Memorial National Private Higher Primary School, Heradi.

The chief guest for the occasion was Rotarian Alvin Quadros, the Assistant Governor of Zone-3, who personally distributed the uniforms to the eager students. In his address, Mr. Quadros expressed his admiration for the Rotary Club's commitment to social service, highlighting how such initiatives can make a significant difference in the lives of young learners.

Presiding over the function was Rotarian Seetaram S., President of the Rotary Club of Barkur. In his presidential address, Mr. Seetaram emphasized the importance of education and how proper school attire can boost students' confidence and sense of belonging.

The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by Mrs. Hemavati P.S., senior co-teacher of the high school section at National Pre-University College. She extended her gratitude to the Rotary Club of Barkur for their generous initiative, recognizing the positive impact it would have on the students and their families.

Mr. Udayakumar Shetty, Headmaster of National Private Higher Primary School, Hanehalli, graced the occasion with his presence on the dais, lending further significance to the event.

The program was skillfully compered by Rotarian K. Babu Naik, Secretary of the Rotary Club, who ensured the smooth flow of the proceedings. The vote of thanks was delivered by Navyalata, a co-teacher from the Hanehalli school, who expressed sincere appreciation to all those involved in making the event a success.
