Respected President of Barkur Educational Society, all office bearers and members, esteemed colleagues, dear students, and most importantly, our honorable Principal, Prof. U. Kotraswami,
It is with a mixture of gratitude, admiration, and deep emotion today bid farewell to a remarkable individual, our beloved principal, Prof. U. Kotraswami.
As we look back at his incredible journey with us, we see a man who is not only an outstanding lecturer in Economics but also an able administrator, a humble soul, and a person whose simplicity and accessibility endeared him to all. Prof. Kotraswami, hailing from the distant lands of Chitradurga, came to Barkur and made it his home away from home.
Over the years, he not only led National PU College with a steady hand but also immersed himself in the social, cultural, and religious life of this community, leaving an indelible mark on all of us.
Taking charge during challenging times, he became a beacon of hope and inspiration. His leadership saw the institution achieve milestones that will be remembered for decades. Among these, the historic and grand Platinum Jubilee celebration of our college stands out as a shining example of his vision and dedication. The commemorative souvenir of this occasion is a testament to his relentless efforts and a precious legacy that speaks volumes about his contributions.
Prof. Kotraswami, as you prepare to start a new chapter in your life at your native place, we cannot help but draw inspiration from your unshakable commitment to the well-being of society. Just as Jimmy Carter, the former President of the United States, revealed his true self through his unparalleled social commitment after leaving the White House, we are confident that the "real Kotraswami" will unfold in all his glory, contributing even more to the world around him.
On behalf of everyone gathered here, we wish you a retirement filled with good health, happiness, and endless opportunities to pursue your passions. May you remain active and vibrant, continuing to inspire and uplift those around you, just as you have done for all of us.
Prof. Kotraswami, your legacy will live on in this institution and in the hearts of those whose lives you have touched. Thank you for your tireless dedication, your wisdom, and your kindness.
As you leave us today, please know that Barkur will always hold a special place for you, and we will forever cherish the memories of your time with us. Farewell, Sir, and may your journey ahead be as fulfilling and impactful as your years here have been.
