Friends, send in your articles, messages, write-ups, stories, poems, reminiscence  - anything that  you feel appropriate to find a place here, in this monument, to the future generation, is welcome……!

Also your good wishes and prayers for the success of this great event, very much solicitude and need of the hour!! Make it a point to despatch them to the Secretary, of the organising committee Mr Kishore Gonsalves, well on time, so as to avoid any last moment disappointments!

Further, some people say it rightly, Barkur is active because of Youth, and one such disciplined forum is CYM, in turn it is the backbone of Church, hence it is in a way a celebration of the whole parish, a generation and proud Barkurians all over the world.

All well-wishers, lovers and admirers of Youth of Barkur too, welcome to join the fiesta.

This Barkur Web-site also completing one year on line, in Dec., coincided with the commencement of CYM Silver Jubilee Year - as you witnessed new writers, scholars, people with social concern, not only contributed but supported, encouraged, corrected and appreciated the creative work of the Host and this site, time and again.

On my part, at times with hesitation, scribbled few lines, in the Corner attributed to my name, by the Host, and to my utter dismay, many of you, too generous to recognise their worth,(?) [ though, don’t know, most of you personally] -  in one word  I take this opportunity to say a big thank you, to all & specially the inventor of this site Mr.Kishore Gonsalves and admit openly, among other things, it is this CYM, which  shown the path to this village boy, to come to this stage, for which, I will remain indebted!!.

Very soon, few more Sections will be added and prominent and popular authors from Barkur as well as few settled abroad and in Mumbai, will take charge of this all informative site, in the coming days and personally wish all of them a long, worthy and quality association with this BARKUR ON LINE.

Thanks once again,

On behalf of ICYM Ex-Member’s Committee,

P.Archibald Furtado, Muscat, 19th November, 2002.
