The Program began at 10.00 a.m. with the Holy Mass in the “Jesuit Niwas” Chapel in Bengaluru. Mr. James Sequeira, V. President, welcomed the gathering.
The Celebrants for the Mass were : Rev. Fr. Rohan Almeida, SJ – Principal of St. Joseph’s Indian High School; Rev. Fr. Vishal D’Souza- Administer St. Joseph Boys High School, Bangalore and also in charge of The Chapel and liturgy ; Rev. Fr. Patrick Crasta, Professor, Dena Seva Ashram, Kengeri.
The D’Souza family members from Devanahalli were kind enough to conduct the Choir and distributed the hymnal sheets.
The President, Mr.Peter Pinto, thanked one and all present.
The AGM and Feast Celebration at Catholic Club was ably conducted by Mrs. Lexin Sequeira.
The program was started at 11.30 a.m. with the Prayer by Fr. Patrick Crasta.

Mr. Augustine D’Lima announced the Awardees and briefed their achievements. The Awardees were honored with a shawl and plaque by Fr. Patrick Crasta along with the President. The Awardees honored were: (1) Dr. Kiran Kamal Prasad (Cyprian Lobo, Barkur), Founder and coordinator, Jeevika, Bengaluru was honored for his Award “Mother Theresa Award for Social Justice-2019” by Harmony Foundation, Mumbai and “The Human rights Prize of French Republic 2020 Edition” by Commiotion Nationale Consultive Republique Francaise (CNCDH). (2) Mr. Anthony Prakash Dsouza ( Antony Barkur)- a Poet / Writer, was honored for his award “ Vimala Pai Konkani Annual Literary Award for the year 2021 “ by The Konkani Bhas Ani Sanskriti Prathistan, World Konkani Centre, Mangaluru for “MASSAM” a collection of Konkani short stories. (3) Miss. Sweezal Furtado ( D/o Mrs.Savitha Furtado, Barkur), was honored for her Award “Star Miss Teen India South 2021” . She was also crowned as “Fresh face of Ignite India 2021” at the Ignite India Meraki Fashion Competition held in Bengaluru in 2021. Further, she was crowned as “MISS SUPER MODEL INDIA 2022, 2ND RUNNER UP” on 26/06/2022 by Star Entertainment Production, New Delhi. (4) Mr. Michael Varun Sequeira ( s/o Mr. Lawrence and Mrs.Janet Sequeira, Barkur), was honored for his Award in business model “Ice Cream Burger” in 2017 by the President of India, Sri Pranab Mukherjee and it was inducted in the star brand category. (5) Miss Vilina Sequeira ( D/o Mr. James & Mrs. Alice Sequeira, Barkur) – Founder and Managing Director, Docens Consulting and Recruiting Co. Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru was honored for her Award “ Times Hospitality Icon 2020”, for two consecutive Years 2019 and 2020 for her outstanding contribution towards Recruitment in the Hospitality Industry by Iconic Food & Beverages Recruitment Company (6) Miss Tamara Rose Furtado (D/o Dr. Sunil Valentine and Dr.Shireen Furtado) student of Sophia High School- Bangalore, was honored for her Award in her achievement in “SPELLBEE” competition held by Rotary Club of South India.
Mr. Felix Menezes was honored as “Main Sponsor” for his encouragement and support to the Association.
Biography of Late Mr. John Peter Sequeira (JPS) was released by Rev.Fr. Patrick Crasta. Mr. Augustine D’Lima highlighted the significant contributions of JPS – “the Maker of Modern Barkur”
Fr. Patrick Crasta gave his message and briefed the progress made towards making Fr. Alfred Roche, a Saint.
The President thanked the members for their support and dissolved the old committee. The past President Mr. Peter Pinto was honored by Mr. James Sequeira ,V. President and Mr. Felix Menezes ,the new President
The Returning Officer Mr. Jossie Sequeira conducted the election and announced the new Committee Members.
The new President Mr. Felix Menezes spoke a few words and thanked the members for electing him as the new President of SPA, Bengaluru.
Mrs. Janet Rego, General Secretary, gave Vote of Thanks.
Mr. Richard Lewis, a famous comedian entertained the crowd. Mr. Peter Pinto, President, honored him for his kind gesture.
Fr. Patrick Crasta blessed the food followed by fellowship lunch.
