73rd Independence Day was celebrated at Maryknoll Primary School. Sr Margaret , Head Mistress welcomed the students, teachers and the dignitaries for the celebration. Disha, a student of 7th standard delivered a speech about the importance of the day and it's celebration. Correspondent of the school, Rev Fr Philip Neri Aranha, Parish Priest of the Church of St Peter, Barkur, unfurled the Tricolor flag.
Teacher Joyce Vandan D'Sa proposed the vote of thanks and Teacher Rosy Lewis aptly conducted the proceedings. Uniforms for school children sponsored by Udupi Mattha were distributed during the state function.
