In a ceremony held at the 'Anugraha' pastoral center of the Udupi Diocese, three exceptional students from Barkur parish were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements. The annual Educational Excellence Awards, sponsored by the John D'Silva Foundation of Mumbai, were presented to these bright young minds, highlighting the community's commitment to education and youth development, under the patronage of Catholic Sabha, Udupi Region.
The recipients of this year's awards from Barkur are:
1. Vivika Lucia Picardo: She distinguished herself by achieving the highest percentage in the 10th grade within the Barkur parish. This accomplishment demonstrates her dedication to her studies and sets a high standard for her peers.
2. Rachel Gonsalves: In a notable achievement, Rachel secured the first place in the PUC Arts division across the entire Kallianpur deanery. This recognition speaks to her proficiency in the arts and humanities.
3. Rania D'Souza: Excelling in the commerce stream, Rania claimed the top position in the PUC Commerce division for the Kallianpur deanery. Her achievement underscores her aptitude for business-related subjects.
