In the academic years 2014-16, Mr. Sanchit Kumar, a bright Alumni from the Mechanical Maintenance (Automobile) division at the National ITI, Barkur, embarked on a journey that would take him across borders. The 11th KIA Skill World Cup, held in South Korea. This prestigious event brought together the best technicians from around the globe to showcase their expertise.
Mr. Kumar, armed with his knowledge and passion, represented India with unwavering determination. His skills were put to the test in a competitive environment, where precision and innovation mattered. And he didn't disappoint. The judges recognized his exceptional abilities, awarding him the coveted title of World Best Technician. A Gold Medal worth $5000 adorned his neck, and the applause echoed across continents.
Continuing the Legacy at Hyundai
But Mr. Kumar's journey didn't end there. From 2017 to 2021, he found himself at the heart of automotive excellence—working with Hyundai, a global leader in automobile manufacturing. His dedication and expertise caught the attention of the industry, and soon, he was representing India once again.
This time, it was the 13th World Skill Olympics, held in South Korea. The stakes were high, and the competition fierce. Yet, Mr. Kumar's skills shone brightly. His flawless execution, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to perfection earned him another Gold Medal—this time worth $1000. India celebrated, and so did the Barkur Education Society.
