Barkur - Bennekudru: Sarvajanika Shri Ganeshothsava Samithi Bennekudru organised a day at the field, Kesarallondu Aata on the occasion of 7th Year of Ganeshothsava. Various traditional games and competitions were held at the wet fields of Bannekudru were enjoyed by lots of people despite the heavy rains.
Not long ago these games were games, but very much part of the farmers life, but today one can only see hectares abandoned fields in every village. It's heartening to note youngsters and children involved in large numbers.
