SVVN Heradi – Barkur Celebrates Annual Prize Distribution Day with Grandeur

Barkur, December 22, 2023 - In a dazzling ceremony that unfolded at Shri Vidyesha Vidyamanya National English Medium High School, SVVN Heradi – Barkur, the Annual Prize Distribution Day was celebrated with fervor and enthusiasm. The event, a key part of the two-day School Day program, commenced at 9:30 am on Friday, December 22, 2023.

The vibrant event kicked off with a soul-stirring prayer hymn by the school's choir, invoking blessings from the Almighty. Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty, Secretary of the Barkur Educational Society, extended a warm welcome to the assembled audience, emphasizing the role of desire in achieving success. He noted the joy evident on the faces of students, eagerly awaiting recognition for their accomplishments.

Mrs. Likitha Kotary, the Principal of SVVN, welcomed esteemed guests and members of the Managing Committee with floral greetings. The spotlight then shifted to the youngest scholars, the tiny tots from Kindergarten, who received their prizes from Mr. S. Vittal Shetty, Vice President of the Barkur Educational Society. Mr. Shetty expressed his satisfaction, likening his role to that of a grandfather to these angelic youngsters, extending congratulations to both students and their supportive parents and teachers.

Acknowledging the efforts of students from the previous academic session, Mr. Shrinivas Shettigar, Proprietor of Shettigar Industries, urged collaboration between students, teachers, and management for imparting quality education in English medium.

Mr. Shantarama Shetty, President of Barkur Educational Society, shared his happiness at participating in the celebration and advised students to embrace discipline and seize every opportunity available to them. Retired Prof P. Archibald Furtado, Administration Coordinator of National Educational Institutions, commended the all-round progress and growth of SVVN.

Expressing gratitude, Correspondent Mr. Rajaram Shetty thanked all those who contributed to the school's growth, inviting past students, parents, and philanthropists to join in celebrating the school's upcoming two decades of glory in 2024.

A special moment of recognition was reserved for Mrs. Jyothy, the Physical Educator since the school's inception, who was honored by the Parents and Teachers Association. Adorned with traditional shawls, garlands, bouquets, and a colorful memento, it was a heartfelt expression of gratitude.

The retired Principal, Mr. B Seetarama Shetty, presided over the event, expressing pride not only for the prize recipients but also for the parents sharing in the glory of their children's success. He emphasized the school's success story and urged the continuation of its legacy by all.

Concluding the stage program, Teacher Aparna extended a vote of thanks, acknowledging everyone who contributed to the success and enjoyment of the event. Principal Mrs. Likitha Kotary informed the audience about the forthcoming glittering Annual School Day and Cultural Events scheduled for the next day, inviting all to grace the occasion at 3:30 pm.
