The 78th Independence Day was celebrated at National ITI Herady, Barkur, which is managed by the Barkur Educational Society. The institution's director, Mr. B. Ramachandra Kamat, hoisted the flag. On this occasion, he remembered the great leaders who fought for our freedom and, referring to the recent communal riots in neighboring countries, urged everyone to live together in harmony and be good citizens. The principal of the institution spoke, emphasizing the importance of living peacefully and united. All the teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as the students, were present at the event.
