The Annual General Body Meeting (Vaarshika Mahasabhe) of Kachchooru Shree Nageshwara Temple’s Administration Trust and Jeernoddhara Seva Trust and electing the new Mokthesar for the Administration Trust was held recently in “Bhandary Sabhaangana”, the temple’s hall at Barkur.
It all started with the “Saarvajanika Sathyanarayana Mahaa Pooje” around 9 am in the morning, which ended around 12.30 pm with the distribution of Mahaprasada. The devotees and the general public are severed by lunch by the temple’s administration.
The General Body meeting started at 2 o’clock in the noon. Mr.Shashidhar Bandari, Karkala welcomed the gathering. Mr.Dinesh Kumar, Haleyangadi read out last year’s report and kept before the public, the details of last year’s income and expenses.
Then electing the new Mokthesar was held. Mr.Subhash Bhandari of Udupi was elected as the new Mokthesar of of Kachchooru Shree Nageshwara Temple, Barkur for the period of 2 years.
Mr.Sathish Bhandari-Karkala, Mr.Sashikanth Bhandary-Kundapura, Mr.B.J. Bhandary-Mangalore, Mr.Hiriyanna Bhandary-Baalehonnuru, Mr.Dayananda Bhandary-Karkala, Mrs.Surekha Bhandary-Surathkal and Mrs. Saraswathi Bhandary-Paadooru were selected as Co-Mokthesars, representing various zones.
Mr.Dinesh Kumar Haleyangadi, the past Mokthesar, symbolically handed over his post to Mr.Subhash Bhandari Udupi by giving him a bouquet. Mr.Subhash Bhandari thanked all in his speech.
Mr.Suresh Kadandhale, the president of Bhandari Mahaa Mandala, took over the mike thereafter and invited the Bhandaris to get united and work hard to strengthen the community in all aspects.
Mr.B.J.Bhandary, the retired Deputy Superintendent of Police of Mangalore spoke on behalf of the audience.
Distribution of Annual Scholarship amount for the students of the community was held thereon. Approximately Rs.1.50 Lakh worth of amount is spent this year on this scholarship scheme. Students from the community studying in PUC, Degree, Professional/Technical Courses received this scholarship.
Mr.Nirmal Kumar, President of Kachchuooru Co-Operative Society, Mr.Raghava Bhandari, Mr.Shivarama Bhandai, Mumbai were present on the dais.
Mr.Laxmana Karavali, Bengalooru proposed the vote of thanks.
Mr.Subhash Bhandari Udupi : Is a professional tailor and running his tailoring business in Udupi. His shop “Subhash Tailors” is situated in Kanakadasa Road, (Sanskritha College to Srikrishna Mutt Road) Udupi. He is married to Sumathi. The couple is blessed with two daughters Lekha (2nd PUC) and Charithra (9th Std).
