In a festive celebration following the New Year Mass, Barkur Parish announced the eagerly awaited results of its Annual Parish Level Crib Competition. The event, which saw participation from nine wards, culminated in an inspiring display of creativity and devotion.
Serah Shanol Lewis from St Sebastian ward emerged as the overall parish-level champion, followed by Jenevive Gonsalves of St Joseph's Ward Halekody and Juston Dias securing the second and third positions respectively. St Sebastian ward's exceptional participation and creativity ,earned them the prestigious Rolling Shield.
The ward-wise results showcased remarkable talent across the parish:
St Anthony Bennekudru Ward witnessed Jeston Dias claiming the top spot, with Janice Pinto and Oreal Olivera securing the second and third positions.
In St Joseph's Ward Halekody, Jenevive Gonsalves led the winners, followed by Shanthi Roshan D'Almeida and Anish Ashline D'Almeida.
St Paul ward Hanehalli celebrated Tyson Pinto's victory, with Anson D'souza and Sanvi Nived Dias completing the top three.
Ruzar Ward Hosala saw Calista Criston D'souza emerge victorious, while Ethan Cyril Fernandes and Rhenal Picardo secured the second and third positions.
In St Lawrence Hosala Ward, Aston Lewis claimed the first prize, followed by Adrian Crasta and Reeshal Lobo.
St Francis Xavier ward Kudru's competition was won by Calista Dias, with Fabian Flinton Fiona Fernandes and Leona Niyol Furtado securing the subsequent positions.
St Peter's Ward Kachur celebrated Kiara Cardoza's victory, accompanied by Sweenal Pinto and Glady D'Almeida in second and third places.
St Thomas Ward Nagarmutta saw Amelia Furtado emerge victorious, followed by Evon D'Almeida and Shenola Fernandes.
The winning streak in St Sebastian ward was led by parish-level champion Serah Shanol Lewis, with Philomena D'silva and Prajwal D'Almeida securing the second and third positions.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by distinguished clergy members including Rev. Dr. Fr. Anil D'Almeida, Fr. Pius Menezes, Fr. Tony Andrade, and Parish Priest Fr. Ronald Miranda, who presented the awards to the deserving winners.
