BANGALORE - Sixteen-year-old Cleon Furtado has clinched the top prize in singing at "Kalanjali" for the fourth consecutive year, continuing his remarkable winning streak at the prestigious Konkani cultural festival.
Competing in the 15-20 age category, Furtado secured first place against both male and female contestants, building upon his previous three victories in the under-15 division.
The annual festival, organized by KONCAB and the Federation of Konkani Catholic Associations (FKCA), brings together more than 32 Konkani associations from Bangalore and surrounding areas. Participants showcase their talents across various categories including singing, dance, drama, and fancy dress.
A member of Konkani Samudai Jayanagar, Cleon is the son of Marina and Veeru Furtado, originally from Bennekudru, Barkur. His consistent success reflects both his vocal talent and his dedication to preserving Konkani cultural traditions.
