DC of Udupi District, Koorma Rao M., IAS, visited and met people of Barkur, under the ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಕಡೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ನಡೆ initiative. President of Barkur Grama Panchayath, B. Shantharam Shetty presided over the program. Assistant Commissioner of Kundapur, Rashmi SR, KAS, Brahmavar Tahasildar Rajashekhar Moorthi and various officers of the District were present at the occassion.
People from Barkur participated in large number in this interactive program and raised various issues regarding their land records, roads and street lights, drainage system, Mescom issues, stopping of Mathsyagandha Train at Barkur station with the government officials who responded positively and assured to resolve the issues as soon as possible.
