Essential supplies provided to the stranded labourers

As reported earlier,  laborers from Utthara Kannada district and other places, stranded at the border of Udupi District  due to nationwide lock down were temporarily  accommodated at Smt.Rukmini Shedthi Memorial Government First Grade College, Barkur by the District Collector G.Jagadish and Brahmavar Tahasildar Kiram Gourayya.  

Rotary Club Barkur and Barkur Sports and Cultural Club, joined hands together at this occasion to provide  Soap, Toothpaste, Brushes and other essential supplies to these helpless people. They also  arranged for their health check up by the Health Officer Roshni and nurses from Primary Health Care Center Barkur. Medicines also provided for those in need.  

Brahmavar Tahasildar Kiram Gourayya, Revenue Inspectors Raju Kota and Lakshmi Narayana Bhat, Brahmavar, Village Accountants Bhimaraj Girish and Cheluvaraj, Rotary Club President, B.Sudhakar Rao, Barkur Sports and Cultural Club President Sathish Amin, Barkur, Secretary Sudhir Shetty were present at the occasion.  

Sudhakar Rao and Kiran Gourayya  addressed the laborers and stressed on the importance of obeying the Government directives in  maintaining social distancing   and hygiene   to avoid the propagation of Corona Virus.
