Free Vaccination Drive arranged at SVVN English Medium School, Herady Barkur, on 3rd January for the students of 14 and above the age. Dr Manjunath Somayaji, the correspondent of the school inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and expressed his views on the vaccination. He opined that Indians naturally have good immunity still one cannot deny the risk. Along with the physical cleanliness, he stressed on the importance of mental and spiritual cleanliness too.
Dr Rohini, Medical Officer of Primary Health Centre, Barkur, explained the importance of vaccination and the risk of the third wave of covid-19. Explaining the variants of the virus she asked the parents and students to be careful.
Gram Panchayat member Mr. Sharan was present on the dias. District Health Officer, Mr Nagabhushan Udupa, inspected the vaccination drive.
Vaccination was done to the students in the presence of their parents. Medical staffs Prasad, Vidya, Suhasini and Bina helped the vaccination drive to be done successfully. School Headmistress Mrs Preethirekha welcomed the guests, Mrs. Likitha Kothari conducted the program and Mrs Bridget Gonsalves proposed the vote of thanks.
