December 23, 2003 : SVVN English Medium School, Barkur, celebrated its 19th Annual Day on December 23, 2003, with a grand event that saw the participation of esteemed guests and the recognition of outstanding contributors to the school's success.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from the Correspondent, Mr. Rajaram Shetty, setting a positive tone for the evening. A touching gesture followed as Master Karthik offered flowers, symbolizing respect and admiration.
The spiritual ambiance continued with an eloquent prayer led by girls from 5th to 10th grade, showcasing a harmonious blend of talent and unity. The Headmistress then took the stage, providing a concise yet comprehensive annual report summarizing the school's achievements and milestones over the past year.
Mr. Raghav Shetty, SSLC Nodal ECO (HS), distributed proficiency prizes during the ceremony. In his insightful speech, he emphasized the collective responsibility of management, teachers, and parents in shaping the holistic development of a child.
Dr. A P Bhat awarded prizes to the SSLC toppers for the academic year 2022-23, highlighting the profound notion that education extends beyond textbooks, involving instilling values. He urged parents to actively contribute to their child's overall development.
Mr. K K Hebbar recognized the achievements of the sports teams, presenting prizes to the game winners, underscoring the importance of physical activity and teamwork. Further enhancing the celebratory atmosphere, Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty awarded prizes to the divisional level winners, showcasing the school's commitment to recognizing excellence in academics and extracurricular achievements.
In his address, Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty emphasized the crucial role parents play in educating a child, emphasizing the collaborative effort required for the comprehensive development of the child.
A notable highlight was the honor bestowed upon Mr. Suresh Shetty, the Physical Education Teacher (PET), during the ceremony. The recognition, given by PTA President Rajgopal Nambiar and committee members, signifies Mr. Shetty's significant contributions to the physical education program.
Archibald Furtado, the Administrative Coordinator, presented championship prizes during the event. Notably, Mr. Shreesha Bhat, an alumni excelling in both engineering and Carnatic music, was honored, serving as inspiration for current students and showcasing diverse paths and successes that alumni can achieve after their time at the school.
The ceremony also acknowledged the achievements of parents and alumni, with prizes presented to five game winners. Mrs. Bridgit expressed gratitude in a well-articulated vote of thanks. The event was skillfully anchored by Mrs. Jyothi Shetty and Mrs. Sabitha Fernandes. The cultural program, spanning from playschool to 10th grade, showcased the diverse talents of the students. Master Karthik, Deepthi, Sinchana, Sanket, Savion, and Soujanya contributed to the success of the cultural presentations as event comperes.
