Health Camp and Blood Donation Drive Organized by Various Organizations in Barkur

On Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a free medical camp and blood donation drive is organized by the Sri Venu Gopala Krishna Multipurpose Cooperative Society (R), Barkur, in collaboration with the Somakshatriya Ganiga Samaja (R), Moodukeri, Barkur. Several other organizations including Sri Venu Gopala Krishna Youth Association (R), Sri Annapoorneshwari Mahila Sangha, Sri Venu Gopala Krishna Educational Society (R), and Kot Ganiga Youth Association, along with residents from Udupi, Udyavara, Kemmannu, Tenkanadiyoor, Brahmavar, and surrounding areas, extending their support.

The health camp provides free medical check-ups, eye care, dental care, and distribution of Kannada literature. Notably, the camp offers services like heart health assessments and ECG tests conducted by renowned cardiologists, screenings for women's health, diabetes, and blood pressure, as well as examinations by ENT specialists and general physicians.

One of the main highlights of the event is the blood donation drive, emphasizing the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives. The organizers emphasize that there is no substitute for human blood, and it cannot be artificially manufactured. 

The collaborative effort of various organizations and the active participation of the public will exemplify the spirit of community service and solidarity in Barkur, contributing to the betterment of society and the promotion of healthcare awareness.
