"Healthy Child Competition" organized by Barkur Rotary Maternity and Primary Health Center, Barkur witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 50 boys and girls aged between one and three years from the Barkur region. In the Junior category, three children received awards: K. Anagha, daughter of Mrs. Malathi Balachandra from Hanehalli; K. Shreenika, daughter of Mrs. Ashwini Ganesh from Hosala; and Mufiraf, son of Mrs. Seema Mehaboob from Hanehalli. In the Senior category, the awardees were: K. Prerana, daughter of Mrs. Swathi Nityanand from Hosala; K. Tanushk, son of Mrs. Sujatha Ajith from Kachoor; and K. Anvi, daughter of Mrs. Pallavi Sadasheva from Kuradi.
The prize distribution ceremony, presided over by Rtn Subramanya, witnessed the presence of dignitaries who played key roles in the event. They included Vedamurthy Prabhakar Bairi, the Chief Guest and sponsor of the program, Mr. Narayana Acharya, the District Representative of the Rotary Zone, Dr. Rohini, Purnima, President of Anns Club, and Mr. Sitaran S, among others. The program, organized under the leadership of Mr. Sudhakar Rao, was successful in recognizing and honoring Mr. Shaukat Ali owner of Barkur Unity Shamiana, and Dr. Rohini.
The "Healthy Baby Competition" successfully showcased the talent and potential of the young children in Barkur. The event not only celebrated their growth but also highlighted the community's commitment to nurturing the next generation. Barkur Rotary and the Primary Health Centre can be commended for organizing such a memorable and inspiring event that brought joy and excitement to all participants and attendees alike.
