Barkur, January 26, 2024: The National Junior College (NJC) in Barkur witnessed a spectacular display of national pride and unity as students, faculty, and staff joined together to celebrate the 75th Republic Day of India. The event, marked by a disciplined parade and vibrant march-past, showcased the dedication and enthusiasm of NCC cadets, Scouts, Guides, NSS members, and other participants.
Under the leadership of Principal Prof U Kottraswamy, the festivities commenced with the hoisting of the national flag, symbolizing the spirit of freedom and unity. In his inspiring address, Principal Kottraswamy emphasized the significance of such national celebrations in nurturing patriotism and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the motherland. He urged everyone to familiarize themselves with the Constitution, describing it as a sacred guidebook that promotes justice and harmony among citizens.
The participation of both High School and PU students added fervor to the proceedings, highlighting their active engagement in national events. Mrs. Hemavathy PS, the Headmistress of the High School section, along with teaching and non-teaching staff, wholeheartedly supported and cheered on the youth, underscoring the importance of their involvement in such commemorative occasions.
Following the ceremony, all attendees were treated to snacks and sweets, fostering a sense of camaraderie and celebration among the NJC Barkur community.
