Servant of God, Amcho Padryab Alfred Roche, OFM Cap, a native of Moodahadu Village in Barkur, born on 3rd April, 1924, as the 5th child of Late Isaac and Carmine Roche.
Holy See had declared him as the servant of God and a declaration to this effect was made during the Holy ceremony held in Holy Family Church, in Brahmmavar on 15th August, 2021 and the process of his beatification is on the fast track, as many miracles are taking place and reported from all corners of the places he .served during his life time and elsewhere……
At his birth place in their ancestral house in Moodahadu Barkur a Prayer Meeting will be held on Monday, 15th November, 2021 at 5.00 PM, led by the Rev. Fr. Philip Neri Aranha, the Parish Priest of St. Peter Church Barkur.
During this programme, the Official Invitation will be released for the Inaugural ceremony of the Initiation of the Udupi Diocesan Process.
On 31st December, 1996, Fr Alfred breathed his last and this is also his this year his 25th Death Anniversary.
