Barkur, Karnataka - On Sunday, September 17, 2023, the Rotary Club of Barkur hosted a grand Family Meet event, featuring a variety of programs and dignitaries. The event was presided over by Rotarian Seetharam S., who served as the chairman.
The chief guests for the occasion were R.K. Padmanabha Kanchan, a prominent philanthropist, and Raja Ram Aital, a local representative. They graced the occasion alongside the close associates of the former Governor of Rotary, Rotarian Ananda Shetty, and the immediate past Rotary President Subrahmanya Poojari. The event took place on a specially prepared stage.
The festivities commenced with the celebration of Mr. Dinakar Shetty's birthday, a new member of the club. Following this, a program was organized to honor the engineers who had made significant contributions to the club's initiatives. Ganesh Poojari, club's director, and his daughter Dhanvitha, who had achieved the first place in the district-level wrestling and a commendable second place in the state-level competitions, were also felicitated.
The event witnessed the felicitation of esteemed teachers who had been recipients of awards: Shri Murti Rao and retired teachers Shri Ratnakar Shetty, Shri Vishwanath Shetty, and Shri Dhananjay Acharya. The Ann's club's new office bearers, President Ann Geetha and Secretary Ann Kiran S. Shetty, were also introduced and honored.
The responsibility of organizing and conducting this event efficiently fell on the capable shoulders of Mr. Prakash Tantri, Mr. U.K. Vasudev Shetty, Abdul Mubarak, Raju T. Poojari, and Dinakar Shetty. Prakash Tantri took charge of overseeing the event, and he and his team carried it out with great finesse.
