Secular Franciscan Third Order, Udupi County's Annual Day Celebrations in Barkur.

Secular Franciscan Third Order, Barkur unit hosted Udupi County's Annual Day celebrations on wednesday, 24th October 2012. Barkur unit headed by President Jessy Menezes along with Secretary Ezabella Fernandes and other office bearers and members put up a well organized event. The programme was attended by the members of 14 units of Udupi county, comprising of Udupi and Kallianpur Varado.

 

Celebrations began with the mass at 11 am, offered by Barkur Parish Priest Fr. Valerian Mendonca, along with Fr. Sudeep Gonsalves, spiritual director of S.F.T.O Udupi county and Fr. Valerian D'silva. 

 

 

Mass was followed by Formal stage programme in the church hall. It was presided by Fr. Valerian Mendonca. Accompanied by S.F.T.O Udupi County's spirirtual director Fr. Sudeep Gonsalves, president Mr. Gregory Andrade, Secretary Jecintha Lewis, Fr Valerian D'silva, Evegene Quadras, Sr Rosalin Fernandes of Karunalaya Brahmavar and Jessy Menezes, president of Barkur Unit.

 

 

Prog began with a welcome dance performed by the dancers of barkur. Gregory Andrade, welcomed the gathering. Jecintha Lewis read out the report of Udupi county, follwed by the address by Evegene Quadras and Fr. Valerian Mendonca delivered the Presidential address. Program was anchored Evegene Machado of Udyavar. The program ended with the lunch.
