Barkur, May 28, 2023- In a heartfelt farewell ceremony held at Barkur Parish, Sr. Lourdu Maria Mariappa, the incharge of Boarding mates at IHM Convent Barkur, bid adieu to the institution after seven years of unwavering dedication and service.
Arriving at IHM Convent Barkur in May 2016, Sr. Lourdu Maria Mariappa quickly became an integral part of the convent's community, serving tirelessly in her role as the incharge of Boarding mates. Her compassionate leadership and nurturing spirit endeared her to both the staff and students alike, leaving an indelible mark on the institution.
Throughout her tenure, Sr. Lourdu Maria Mariappa exhibited exemplary commitment to her responsibilities, ensuring the well-being and holistic development of the boarding mates under her care. Her guidance and mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of numerous individuals, instilling in them values of integrity, compassion, and perseverance.
The farewell ceremony held at Barkur Parish served as a poignant tribute to Sr. Lourdu Maria Mariappa's exemplary service and unwavering commitment. Rev. Fr. Rony Miranda, Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Tony Andrade who is currently on holiday at Barkur was also present at the occassion.
