World Photography Day is celebrated by the Rotary Club Brahmavar along with the association of South Canara Photographers, South Canara Dist and Udupi Dist.
Rotary President Dinesh Nairy inaugurated the function in a special way by unveiling the 'field camera' which had been used for the past fifty years and wished all the photographers best in their future endeavors.
Later audience was informed about the features and the usages of the camera.
The photographers who worked in the field for more than thirty years Mr. Stephen Lewis Brahmavar zone, Shridhar Hegde Kundapur zone and Naveen Ballal Udupi zone were felicitated.
Mr. Pratheesh, Mr. Mohan Udupa and Mr. Sunil introduced the falicitators to the audience. The honored photographers shared their experience with the audience.
Mr. Prakash Jattanna, the President of Photographers' Association, Brahmavar wished everyone the best.
Central committee member Mr. Erick D' Souza, Professional service director Mr. Unnati Udaya Kumar Shetty were present on the dias.
Rotary Secretary and the photographer Mr. Alwyn Andrade gave an introductory speech.
Mr. Sunil Pandeshwara compered the program and proposed the vote of thanks.
Recreational games and prizes were held for the photographers and rotary club members.
