The annual Parish feast of the church of St.Peter , Barkur celebrated with much fanfare. Parishioners fro,m Barkur elsewhere thronged the place to celebrate the annual feast in the honor of patron saint St.Peter.
Rt.Rev.Dr. Geralad Isac Lobo, the first bishop of the newly formed Udu[pi Diocese was the main celebrant of the high mass and the Parishioners of Kudru Ward took the responsibility of the traditional Pirjenth.
Rev.Fr.Valeroan Mendonca, Parish Priest of Barkur was felicitated by the Bishop on behalf of the parishioners for being appointed as the Chncelleor of the Udupi Diocese. The newlt edited directory of the Parish, containing the contact information of the parishioners was released at the same time.
