BARKUR, August 8, 2024 - The Smt Rukmini Shedthi Memorial (SRSM) National Primary School in Heradi, Barkur, a venerable institution with nearly a hundred years of history, today became the epicenter of community generosity and educational support. In a heartwarming display of philanthropy and commitment to education, the school organized a grand event to distribute free uniforms, sports attire, athletic clothes, and notebooks to all its students.
The distribution program, held at 11:00 AM in the school premises, was made possible through the generous sponsorship of several organizations and trusts. Key contributors included the SRSM Old Students Association, Kateeleshwari Developers Heradi, Heggunje Rajeev Shetty Charitable Trust, and Smt Ashalatha Nagayya Shetty Charitable Trust from Kundapura. Their collective effort ensured that every student in this Kannada-medium school, managed by 'The Barkur Educational Society' (BES), received essential educational materials and clothing.
The event was graced by several dignitaries and well-wishers of the institution. B Shantharama Shetty, President of BES, presided over the function and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all donors and contributors.
