Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held at St Peter Church, Barkur during the auspicious occasion of 73rd Independence Day of our country.
The ceremony was presided by Parish Priest Rev Fr Philip Neri Aranha. Chief Guests were Parish Council Vice President Mr Gerald Gonsalves, Barkur Pachayath President Mrs Shaila Dsouza, Panchayath Member Mr Dolphy D'lima.
Parish Priest Rev Fr Philip Neri Aranha unfurled the Flag and spoke on the importance of the celebration. The ceremony was organised by ICYM Brakur Unit. President of the unit Mr Glen Furtado compered the proceedings.
