Nurturing Young Explorers: Scouts and Guides Units Launched at Sri Vidyesha Vidyamanya School

"Scouts and Guides inspire children to venture out of their four walls and learn in the lap of nature." This was the theme of the inaugural ceremony for new units of Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Bulbuls, and Bunnies at Sri Vidyesha Vidyamanya National English Medium School, Heradi-Barkuru.

The event was held under the joint auspices of the school and the Bharat Scouts and Guides District Association, Udupi, in association with the local organization, Brahmavara. Mr. Rajaram Shetty, the school correspondent, presided over the ceremony.


Mr. Ashoka Bhatt, President of the Local Association, Brahmavar, inaugurated the units by lighting the lamp and addressed the gathering. "Scouts and Guides inspire children to come out of their four walls and learn in the lap of nature," he said.

Mr. Anand Adiga, District Secretary, and Ms. Sumana Shekhar, ASOC, presented scarves and woggles to the Scouts and Guides students. Mr. Rajaram Shetty and Mr. R.T. Bhatt, Secretary of the local organization, presented scarves and woggles to the Cubs and Bulbuls students. Mrs. Udaya Bhaskar Shetty, Treasurer of the local organization, and Mrs. Likhita Kothari, Principal of the school, presented aprons to the Bunnies students.

The school's Scouts and Guides students offered a mass prayer, and Mrs. Likhita Kothari welcomed the gathering. Guides Captain Mrs. Sujatha L. Rai gave introductory remarks, while Scouts Master Shri Nagendra Achar narrated the program. Flock Leader Mrs. Pavitra proposed the vote of thanks. Lady Cub Master Mrs. Madhushree, Bunny Aunty Mrs. Shubha Rao, and teachers and non-teaching staff assisted in the program.
